Many international companies don’t know how to register Chinese media accounts. In some cases, when they have determined the media platforms, they don’t what to do next. Moreover, some agencies tell them that these platforms only accept Chinese business licenses. Well, that’s not true at all. In fact, major media platforms in China accept overseas business licenses (or certificates of incorporation). In this article, let’s check how to register accounts using an overseas business license on major Chinese platforms. After all, it’s quite crucial to have the ownership of these media accounts directly.
First, Register Chinese media account: WeChat official account
WeChat is the social media in China with most users. Many years ago, it established several overseas teams for international business development. Therefore, accepting overseas business licenses is not new to WeChat. As you can see in the below picture, it’s a user agreement specifically for international companies. The portal of account register is the URL below.

Third, Register Chinese media account: Baidu PPC account
Like its counterpart Google, Baidu is a great channel for direct traffic driving. In fact, Baidu PPC is a must for quality traffic for online conversions. Many international companies are not aware that they could register a Baidu PPC account with a foreign company certificate. If they register the account using a 3rd party in mainland China, then this account belongs to the 3rd party.
If you register the account using a foreign company certificate, then its full name will appear in the ads. In the below picture, you will also see a Chinese company as the account is registered using a Chinese certificate.
Baidu has many international partners who help overseas companies register and manage PPC accounts. They don’t work with clients directly. Just contact Deep Digital China if you need one.
